Loving the bright, bold and colorful vibe for your engagement photos? When done right, colorful outfits with bold colors and patterns can create a beautiful look for your engagement photos! And did you know that the outfit choices you make has a huge impact on the overall feel of your photos? Here are three choices you can make with your engagement session outfits to help achieve that bold vibe!

1) only one person wears a pattern. patterns are great! but too many patterns can overwhelm a photo. it's best to stick to one patterned piece of clothing in a photo.

2) larger patterns are preferred. smaller patterns (ones smaller than a quarter) can photograph a bit wonky (something called moiré effect). But cameras do perfectly fine with capturing bigger patterns!

3) Only one bold color in the photo. Balance a bolder shade of color with neutrals to avoid overdoing it.

4) Consider muted tones of your favorite color. for example, in the below photos, jessica's orange is more muted or flat, compared to a bright pumpkin orange. you can still get your favorite bold color variety, but choosing a muted tone will help your photos from getting too dark or overwhelming.
