At the end of April, Jason and I welcomed our first baby, a beautiful and amazingly sweet baby girl. We named our baby Jaina; Jason told me ever since we started dating over 10 years ago, that he wanted a daughter and he wanted to name her Jaina, a name he became aware of through reading a book in junior high. So, our precious baby, we've been waiting for you. You are so kind, so strong, so smart, so brave, and so beyond beautiful. There is no way to describe the feeling of holding my little miracle.


Penny (our puppy) has done a great job adjusting to her new role as big sister! She brings Jaina balls and chew toys when she cries- a little gross- but always incredibly endearing. Penny longs to be included in Jaina's care, and seems to love having another human to protect and sprinkle with puppy kisses!
