For detail photos, I divide detail items into three categories:
1) Big things
- Wedding dress (and hanger)
- Veil
- Bouquet
2) Small things
- Shoes
- Jewelry
- Wedding & engagement ring
- Hair piece
- Perfume bottle
- Garter
- Family heirlooms
- Something old, new, borrowed, blue
3) Invitation suite
- Invitation
- RSVP card
- Accommodation card
- Printed menu
- Printed info for guests
I suggest putting all your "small things" and invitation suite into a Ziplock bag, shoe box or envelope and give these to your MOH. Your MOH then can give me all the items needed for your detail shots. This makes this part of the day easy and efficient- with less for you to worry about! Detail shots are typically the first photos I take on a wedding day. So you'll get all your jewelry, heirlooms and dress back with plenty of time for "getting ready" shots!
